Nothing spoils the look of shiny lino more than the black scuff marks from a new pair of shoes. Normal mopping with standard floor cleaner can be ineffective. Try spraying on some diluted UBIK2000. Leave it for a few minutes and then agitate to remove the marks. It's an alkaline cleaner so test for discolouring first and don't breathe in the spray. Cordon off the working area as UBIK can be slippery. Rinse and mop clean. Once dry the area is safe to use, and it will look better now the marks have gone.
