Nothing spoils the look of shiny lino more than the black scuff marks from a new pair of shoes. Normal mopping with standard floor cleaner can be ineffective. Try spraying on some diluted UBIK2000. Leave it for a few minutes and then agitate to remove the marks. It's an alkaline cleaner so test for discolouring first and don't breathe in the spray. Cordon off the working area as UBIK can be slippery. Rinse and mop clean. Once dry the area is safe to use, and it will look better now the marks have gone.
Does it seem that no matter how much you polish your mirrors and internal glass, there always seems to be some smears left, especially noticeable in bright sunlight. There are many good window cleaning chemicals on the market, but it's not the chemical that is the problem. In fact even wax free polish and a clean duster will leave misty looking areas. The answer is in what you wipe the chemical off with. Just use a standard paper towel, the results are dazzling and very quick to achieve.
